Griswold Anniversary

Yesterday was the 40th Anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision legalizing birth control, in Griswold v. Connecticut.  This was the case that established the right to privacy, something that was used later in Roe v. Wade, etc.  Lots of things are going on with respect to birth control, and a lack of access to birth control.  For example, NARAL has a campaign asking pharmacies to commit to filling birth control prescriptions. Planned Parenthood is taking an international perspective, looking again at the Global Gag Rule (my old post here) & the UNFPALegislation has been introduced around the issue, and a press conference was held yesterday on the same topic.  So the point is that while birth control has been legal for 40 years, it's not really something we can take for granted - not even in America.
